Key tasks	The Assistant Cook will share responsibility for: - Day-to-day food preparation, cooking and service - Ensuring meals are ready on time - Understanding the costing of recipes and staying within agreed budgets - Kitchen cleaning & washing up - Running safe and hygienic kitchen areas and maintaining CookSafe standards of food service In addition: - Involvement with ‘Time Out’ Christian programme - Assist in other departments as required

Qualifications and experience	Experience of food preparation, cooking and service would be an advantage, but not essential. Enthusiasm and aptitude and ability to work hard as part of a team are more important than highly developed skills as training will be given. It is a Genuine Occupational Requirement, in terms of the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003, that this post is filled by a practising Christian. In line with good practice, a criminal record check will be made with Disclosure Scotland.

Benefits	Basic monthly salary and full board, single accommodation provided. P aid annual leave, use of Centre facilities and a planned programme of training, development and discipleship throughout the year.
