- Responsible for day-to-day food preparation, cooking and service; ensuring meals are ready on time, whilst maintaining high standards of food service
- Responsible for running safe and hygienic kitchen areas in accordance with CookSafe/HACCP and Health and Safety at Work.
- Supervising the Food Services Team
- Responsible for training team members; carrying out inductions/initial training and ongoing training
- Ordering supplies as required and ensuring stock is rotated
- Planning menus, taking into account special diets, specific events and different group requirements
- Understanding the costing of recipes and staying within agreed budgets
