This role will be filled by someone who has a genuine interest in the management of a residential outdoor adventure centre.
The successful applicant will play 2 main roles:
To
support the Operations Director in the leadership and running of the Centre, along with the Chief Instructor.
To supervise 3 departments – housekeeping, catering and administration – and be able to lead the teams to ensure our guests are cared for appropriately during their stay.

Main Objectives:
To plan, organise and manage the daily operation of the Centre within the prescribed limits set down in this description.
Responsibilities:
To be responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others in the day to day carrying out of your duty, all within the parameters of your training and the exercise of common sense. For all health, safety and training matters, including reporting informal risk assessments, you are responsible to the Operations Director, as described on this job description.
To manage all matters to do with the acceptance of bookings, details of arrivals and departures, preparation and receipting of accounts for guests, collection of fees, maintenance of booking charts, local banking arrangements, stationery ordering, petty cash transactions, and all other details of office administration, ensuring a timely despatch of month-end information to the Trust Office including a written report on the preceding months operations along predetermined lines.
To initiate and manage ideas and strategies for the generation of new business for the Centre through pro-active sales and marketing.
To manage the catering department., including being part of the recruitment process,
and ensure a proper and cost-effective catering system is offered by the Centre including balanced menus, economic ordering, efficient operation and hygienic premises, all within the agreed daily Catering Budget.
To manage all housekeeping matters, including being part of the recruitment process, and ensuring that accommodation is prepared and ready for guests on arrival.
To advertise and promote the Centres' activities and to work closely with the Marketing Manager in the promotion of the Trust’s work.
To establish local contacts to help the operation of the Centre and to forge a strong link with the local church and its Minister.
To carry out any other duties which may arise in the day-to-day management and operation of the Centre.
