Taking young people away from their home environment has many benefits. In our experience, young people become increasingly open on a weekend away - it is an ideal environment to explore issues of life and faith. Abernethy adventure weekends are also a great opportunity for you to get alongside your young people and get to know them better. This kind of relational youth work is powerful, impacting and effective. At Abernethy we constantly aim to openly live out our Christian lives in a clear and understandable way. Experience has shown us that for teenagers and young people, seeing this away from home and school is extremely valuable as they decide how they are going to live out their own Faith.
If you want to come for the weekend and run your own Spiritual programme, maybe incorporating some of our Team Members then we would love to be part of that, alternatively, if you would like us to run an integrated Spiritual programme then that can be arranged.
"You may see the weekend away as just a fun time of getting to know your group - and for them to get to know each other - and there really is no better way through adventure challenges in awesome locations". Barry Edmondson, Training & Development Director
Our guests said:

Many young people have made significant decisions about their Christian Faith as a result of visiting Abernethy Adventure Centres over the years. Bringing your Youth Group may be the stepping stone for yet more people to take that life-changing leap of faith.
You may choose to include our ‘Explore’ sessions in your programme. This is an informal time at the end of the day to explore the relevance of the Christian faith. This session is lots of fun and is optional - group leaders are consulted in advance on the form it should take. CLICK HERE for more information
