The Abernethy staff team are all Christians and are here to provide a comfortable, welcoming and memorable experience to all who visit. We are a charitable trust with Christian values at the core of our service. DofE residential participants should be sympathetic to our Christian ethos. As part of their evening programme, residential participants attend an Explore presentation by the Abernethy Team (more information on Explore can be found HERE).
At the bottom of the form, the responsible parent or guardian will be asked if they agree with the following statement:
"I hereby give consent for the applicant to participate in the above activity week. I consent to a senior member of Abernethy staff acting in loco parentis in the event of an emergency if I am unable to be contacted. If my child/ ward behaves in a way deemed unacceptable to Abernethy I will immediately collect and remove them if requested. I understand that photographs containing my child/ ward may be used in publicity materical for Abernethy (individuals will not be identified)."
Click HERE to read the booking terms and conditions, which must be agreed to to reserve a place. Of particular importance is the Cancellation Policy, and please also note the section on the use of photography. In accordance with DofE criteria, participants should ideally join a residential as an individual but a few participants may know each other when they are joining a larger group. Therefore, our policy is that we only take a maximum of two participants who know each other on any given residential.
If you are doing the Environment & Conservation camp at Ardgour, please ensure you bring your hiking boots.
