“We have enjoyed our week very much, your hospitality is outstanding! Everyone goes out of their way to help and make people feel welcome. We loved the adventure here!” Grant Family
Every year we are encouraged by families who tell us that our Family Week is the highlight of their year. This all-age holiday at Abernethy Nethybridge is an established favourite and offers something for everyone. A range of adventure activities are offered on a sign-up basis with a wide variety of options both on and off site, on land and in the water. Our friendly instructors provide top-quality instruction and supervision and will make sure you enjoy being in this beautiful part of Scotland. At the end of a day out and about, we offer a multi-media evening Christian programme with music, worship, games, chat and a guest speaker. The Christian fellowship and houseparty atmosphere on this week are a real highlight for our guests.

This year we are delighted to welcome Rev Stuart Silk and his family to Nethybridge.
Stuart is the Associate Vicar of All Saints church in Lindfield, which is about twenty minutes from Gatwick airport (or as one Scottish friend told him, “nearly France!”) He did a gap year in the House & Kitchen team at Nethybridge in 1994, which he loved, and in which time he learnt to cook and clean, ski and climb.
He married Katherine in 1999, and she continues to be wonderful. He was a church youth worker for six years, and then worked for himself as a handyman doing a variety of jobs, but mainly kitchen fitting and carpentry. He studied theology at Oak Hill College in north London, before being a curate at a church near Chichester on the south coast.
Stuart enjoys meeting new people, and loves sharing the great news about Jesus in a way that connects with everyday life. He is a dad to four active sons, one of whom is learning to play the drums; it is rarely quiet at home. He plays the guitar, loves skiing and snowboarding, and has far too many power tools.
We are really looking forward to Stuart joining us this summer!
