“We have enjoyed our week very much, your hospitality is outstanding! Everyone goes out of their way to help and make people feel welcome. We loved the adventure here!” Grant Family
Every year we are encouraged by families who tell us that our Family Week is the highlight of their year. This all-age holiday at Abernethy Nethybridge is an established favourite and offers something for everyone. A range of adventure activities are offered on a sign-up basis with a wide variety of options both on and off site, on land and in the water. Our friendly instructors provide top-quality instruction and supervision and will make sure you enjoy being in this beautiful part of Scotland. At the end of a day out and about, we offer a multi-media evening Christian programme with music, worship, games, chat and a guest speaker. The Christian fellowship and houseparty atmosphere on this week are a real highlight for our guests.

We are delighted to announce that our speaker for this year will be Clive Parnell who will be talking on the theme of “Love is?” - We live in a world where we can love chocolate, work, friends, family and God. What does it mean to love and be loved? Is it all flowers and roses? What does it mean to find our identity in a loving God? What does it look like to love each other?
We will be thinking about what the apostle John has to say about this as we explore the book of 1John together.
Clive (LFC supporter, runner, bookworm) is married to Grace (Northern Irish baking queen) and has three children Liam (20, a grown up now! studying theology in Belfast), Katie (17, loves music and baking) and Finlay (11, loves anything to do with football and sport in general).
Clive and Grace worked at Abernethy in the early 1990’s and starting dating there and went on to be married, next year they celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.
Clive has worked at Kirkliston Community Church as Teaching Pastor for 4 years. The church has grown to over 200 people and they are looking to plant again in the next 2 years. He is passionate about seeing people grow in their faith and help them apply it to the whole of life. He also teaches at conferences, gives the odd seminar, and is a singer/songwriter.
