Every year we are encouraged by families who tell us that our Family Week is the highlight of their year. This all-age holiday at Abernethy Nethybridge is an established favourite and offers something for everyone. A range of adventure activities are offered on a sign-up basis with a wide variety of options both on and off site, on land and in the water. Our friendly instructors provide top-quality instruction and supervision and will make sure you enjoy being in this beautiful part of Scotland. At the end of a day out and about, we offer a multi-media evening Christian programme with music, worship, games, chat and a guest speaker. The Christian fellowship and houseparty atmosphere on this week are a real highlight for our guests.

Our guests said:
“We have enjoyed our week very much, your hospitality is outstanding! Everyone goes out of their way to help and make people feel welcome. We loved the adventure here!” Grant Family
This year we have invited Ali Sewell to speak.
Ali is an ex Abernethy instructor, having also spent a year training at our School of Adventure Leadership. He is currently working at Christ Church in Edinburgh as well as studying at Edinburgh Theological Seminary. Ali is married to Julie who is also a previous Abernethy team member and they have a baby daughter, born last year. This will be Ali's second time speaking at an Abernethy camp, having previously spoken at our New Year Houseparty.
When we asked what he was most looking forward to from our Family Week, he said he’s looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new people, as well as seeing if he’s still capable of doing any of the activities (his favourite ones being paddling and coasteering)! Ali says he would highly recommend Abernethy to his friends and family saying that “so much work goes into making sure every part of the week is as good as it can be for all the guests.”
