Christian Beliefs
The Foundation Stone of Abernethy

Abernethy is a Christian organisation, seeking to glorify God and make disciples for Him using our people, our properties and our programmes. Our team members are committed Christians who see their service with Abernethy as a calling rather than just a job. We hope that something of our beliefs will be conveyed to you in the way that you are looked after.

So what does this mean?
The Abernethy teams enjoy running an evening programme for you, with an evening session called 'Time Out'. This short meeting is fun, interactive and is always designed to be relevant and challenging, whatever your background or beliefs. This programme is put together after consulting group leaders.

Abernethy does not just cater for Christian or church related groups, in fact, the majority of our guests have little or no Christian connection.

Our centres do have some rules for everybody's safety and wellbeing which we ask you to abide by whilst you are with us. These concern the use of alcohol, smoking and sleeping arrangements, as well as general health & safety guidelines.

Abernethy is affiliated with the Evangelical Alliance, and is also an active member of Christian Camping International (CCI). Abernethy has a Statement of Faith which states the following:

We believe in:

• God as the Creator of all men and the Father of all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
• The Lord Jesus Christ, as the one and only Son of God, redeemer of the world and the one mediator, through faith in whom alone we obtain forgiveness of sins.
• God, the Holy Spirit who indwells all believers.
• The fact of sin and the necessity for the atonement.
• The incarnation, death, resurrection, ascension and coming again of the Lord Jesus Christ.
• The whole Bible as the inspired Word of God.
