Our Learn to Cook Adventure DofE gold residential will prepare you for life away from home. We will cover a wide range of topics and recipes and you will go away at the end of the week confident in the kitchen and able to make plenty of wholesome, healthy and interesting dishes. Throw in some outdoor activities and a bit of baking and you're going to have great week!
If you are not taking part in DofE you can still join these courses.
The price includes all food, accommodation and training that you will receive during the week. All ingredients are included and you will take home a recipe folder at the end of the camp.

There must be at least 5 participants on a DofE residential who have met no more than one other participant prior to the residential.
If you are using public transport, please inform the centre of your travel times on booking so we can arrange to pick you up. Pick ups and drop offs may be at an additional cost.
You will be expected to arrive in time to start at 10am on the first day (Monday) for a full induction and health and safety briefing. You will be free to leave after 4pm on the last day (Friday).
Abernethy operates 4 Christian adventure activity centres and a bunkhouse in Scotland along with a Swiss winter ski base. The Abernethy staff team are all Christians and are here to provide a comfortable, welcoming and memorable experience to all who visit. We are a charitable trust - with Christian values at the core of our service. Our dependence is on God and prayer underpins everything we do. DofE residential participants should be sympathetic to our Christian ethos. As part of their evening programme, residential participants attend an Explore presentation by the Abernethy Team. Abernethy operates a no smoking, no alcohol policy.
