At Abernethy we want as many people as possible to visit our centres and benefit from the experiences gained from a residential stay and taking part in outdoor adventure activities.
As a charity our margins are tight but we are proud of our prices and are happy that they reflect good value for money. However, we also want to do what we can to help guests who, without financial support, would not be able to visit our centres and we will do all we can to make a package affordable for your school.
- A parent with more than one child joining in with a residential visit can benefit from our sibling discount. If siblings come as part of a school group - e.g. twins we can offer 20% off for the second child. Please make sure you mention this during the early part of the booking process if possible.
- We are able to discuss price options for transport – if you are based within a reasonable distance from the centre of your choice we may be able to use our fleet of minibuses to pick you up at a negotiated price.
- If you want a residential experience but cannot manage to fund a whole week we can offer part weeks at certain times of year. We also work on a seasonal basis with prices reflecting the time of year so coming out of the busy summer season will make your money go further.
- We have a Bursary which is funded by donations made by our “Be Involved” supporters and which is available to those in the most need of financial help. We understand that some children at some schools would not be able to consider a visit to Abernethy and yet often, they are the people most in need of the residential experience away from home. For more information on our Bursary please e-mail Mike Causey, our Chief Executive.
Finally, if price is the only thing stopping you from booking a residential at an Abernethy adventure centre then do get in touch. Call Lesley Pearson on 0131 336 3588 or e-mail her to discuss any of the above points.
