Deep Dive with Jonah

June 12 - June 15

Description

Three days and three nights … with Jonah!

The book of Jonah is one of the gems of the Old Testament. Yet despite its familiarity (we all know about Jonah and the whale, but did you know there are actually two whales in the story?), there are multiple layers and rich themes that are unexplored by most of us.

We would be hard pressed to find a better guide for a journey through Jonah than Isaac Riley. He is an Old Testament specialist who knows Jonah intimately, currently studying for his PhD at Cambridge. He will bring to life the themes and contours within this inspiring and challenging book … and draw us into a richer devotional life.

Alongside morning and evening sessions with Issac, there will be abundant opportunities for personal reflection, prayer and rest in God’s beautiful creation. Kilmalieu occupies a stunning position on the shore of Loch Linnhe. It is a renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge with a mixture of comfortable single, twin and family bedrooms. Food is home-made and consistently praised for its quality. Guests have access to a library, art room, lounge, chapel and gym – and are free to explore the estate, with its glorious mix of mountains, coastline and ancient woodland.
