Faith in Nature: Outdoor Church Learning Community

November 6 - November 9

Description

God is on the move … one way we see that is in the upsurge in interest in Forest Church, Muddy Church, Messy Church Goes Wild … and many other local expressions of the Christian community that take place outside and draw inspiration from the creation. If you are involved in helping people explore and/or practise Christian faith in the outdoors – or if you’d like to be (perhaps you’d like to meet others who are already doing this and learn from them) … this is for you.

This long weekend is a chance to spend with people with similar visions and hopes. There will be times to share ideas and experiences and learn from one another. We will pray and worship, usually outdoors. Much of our time will be spent in the woods, on the hills or along the coastline. Towards the end of the weekend we will be involved in leading a Jesus-centred gathering of local people in the great outdoors!

We are grateful to Rural Ministries for financial support for this gathering and the prices above reflect this. If you are willing to share a room, this will enable us to make this generous offer available to more people, but there is no pressure to do so. If you have no need of subsidy, please choose an unsubsidised option.

This gathering is fully catered, starting with dinner after arrival on Friday and ending with breakfast before you leave on Monday. Food at Kilmalieu is home-made and consistently praised for its quality.

Accommodation is in the renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge with a mixture of comfortable single, twin and family bedrooms. Some rooms have en-suite facilities, while others have shared toilet and shower facilities available. Maximum capacity is 18.

Kilmalieu occupies a stunning position on the shore of Loch Linnhe. It is a renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge with a mixture of comfortable single, twin and family bedrooms. Food is home-made and consistently praised for its quality. Guests have access to a small library, chapel, art room, games room, lounge, labyrinth, sports hall and gym.
